Follow these steps to create a new storage conﬁguration in Guided Conﬁguration

mode:

1. Select a redundancy option at the top of the Guided Conﬁguration window:

– Redundancy Only: Create a conﬁguration only if redundancy (RAID 1) is pos

sible.

– Redundancy when possible: Create a redundant conﬁguration if possible. Other

wise, create a non-redundant conﬁguration.

– No Redundancy: Create a non-redundant conﬁguration.

2. Choose whether you want to use existing arrays in the new virtual disk. The

options are:

– Use Existing Arrays Only

– Don’t Use Existing Arrays

– Use Existing and New Arrays

The ﬁrst and third options are disabled if there are no available existing arrays.
